Chapter 24 Forever
At Grandeur Hotel, Dominic was smoking a cigarette on the terrace of the highest floor, and the cigarette between his fingers was close to extinguishing. In the far distance was the sparkling sea. Seagulls were flying in the sky, and the white sails on the sea also accentuated the beautiful
scenery.
The phone on the table vibrated then. It was a text regarding a money transfer of three thousand.
Jonathan and Cyrus looked at each other and smiled before Jonathan brazenly said, “You’re quite lucky with the ladies, Silv. Not only is your wife a beauty, but she also sends you money! Hahaha! I think this is the first time in your life spending a woman’s money, right? It feels good, doesn’t it?”
Dominic just gave him a sidelong glance before he placed his phone back on the table.
He may look expressionless, but a touch of warmth filled his heart.
The man never thought that Calliope would really transfer him the money. Since he had calculated how much she had left, he knew she only had around three thousand in her account.
He then extinguished his cigarette in the ashtray and looked into the distance. A slightly confused look flashed across his eyes.
“Oh, Silv,” Cyrus said in a low voice. “Johnny can’t really make a move, so I did an investigation on Raindon Corp instead. Turns out Melissa is a mid–level executive there and has always been arrogant since her uncle is a shareholder in the company. Not only that, but she’s also…”
Cyrus stopped halfway. He didn’t finish his sentence because he was debating if he should tell Dominic.
However, Dominic’s gaze turned dark as he said, “Go on.”
“She’s also Jonah Frazer’s girlfriend,” Cyrus continued with great difficulty. “As for Jonah, he’s Calliope’s department manager, and he had pursued her before during their university days…”
He regarded Dominic’s expressionless face while saying that, but even though Dominic was expressionless, his hand that was on the table seemed to betray him as he clenched his fist tightly
Seeing that, Cyrus coughed. “It’s not a big deal, Silv, and that happened when they were in university.”
“Hmm? Did I say anything?” Dominic raised a brow, and Cyrus let out a laugh at that.
True, Dominic said nothing, but that was even scarier compared to when he actually said something.
“Continue.”

“Melissa always causes trouble for Calliope in the company, which is why Calliope couldn’t even close a single deal in her first month of work.”
Dominic’s expression turned darker when he heard that.
“Solving this issue will be easy!” Jonathan waved his hand and continued, “Do you want to teach Melissa a lesson, Silv? Leave it to me! I’ll even deal with the other dude for you!”
Cyrus coughed uncontrollably, giving Jonathan the “you’re hopeless” look.
“No need for that.” Dominic’s voice was cold as he went on, “It’s not that big of a deal, and it’ll attract attention if we brew trouble in a small company like that. Calliope can deal with this herself, so you don’t have to butt in.”
“Hah, true,” Cyrus agreed with him. “I understand what you mean, Silv. We don’t have to waste our energy on people like Melissa and Jonah. Calliope can just resign anyway, and it’s not like you
can’t take care of her.”
Dominic hummed upon hearing that as he poured a cup of coffee. After a moment of silence, he blinked a few times, and he had a meaningful look in his eyes.
“Calliope will be doing sales work today,” he calmly said before standing up and leaving the
terrace.
Jonathan was looking at Dominic’s back figure, rubbernecking like an idiot, while Cyrus was smarter. He immediately understood the meaning behind what Dominic had said.
“What’s the situation?” Jonathan was still in shock. “That is the most annoying part about Silv. He always leaves things half–said!”
Hearing that, Cyrus smiled as he closed Jonathan’s mouth before ordering, “Quick! Go check!”
“Check what?”
“Check which company Calliope will be going to do her sales work today, you idiot!”
“I thought Sily said not to butt in?” Jonathan was still confused, and Cyrus rolled his eyes.
Just speaking to him is tiring!
Calliope wasn’t home yet when Dominic arrived home. With that, he looked at his watch and noticed that her work would only end after some time, so he glanced around.
The house was always spotless, even though Calliope was constantly busy with work. Even the kitchen was clean and organized.
Dominic’s lips slightly curled, thinking that she never once complained, even when she was already this busy and was also responsible for both their expenditure.
It seemed that what Calliope said was true. She really did plan on being with him forever.
Forever… Will I be able to give her that?
He knitted his brows and stood in place momentarily before turning and leaving for the bathroom.
Regardless of whether they could be together forever, they had to at least live together in peace. now. He remembered what Calliope had said before. She said that this was their house, so as her husband, he should do some chores as well.
Dominic chuckled when he remembered that and looked at the laundry that had piled up. The laundry from two days ago was there and was not washed yet.
He knew Calliope would undoubtedly be happy when she returned if he did the laundry.
With that, Dominic swiftly took the laundry out of the basket, and something small and white came into view.
