Chapter 42 Charles’s marriage

After calming down, Rebecca found that it was completely dark outside. She was shocked and didn’t expect that she would be in a daze so long.
She stood up in a hurry and limped out of the room to cook. However, when she opened the door, she saw the housekeeper of the hotel setting the dishes.
Seeing Rebecca come out, she smiled and said, “Miss Miles, dinner is ready. Please have dinner and enjoy a good time.”
Then she bowed to Rebecca and left.

At this time, Charles walked out. Seeing that Rebecca was standing in the living room, he said, “What are you waiting for? Help yourself.”
Rebecca didn’t move, but looked at Charles with a complicated expression.
At first, she thought that at least her cooking skill was valued by Charles, but now she suddenly found that she was wrong.
With the status of Charles, he could find any kind of cook.
She couldn’t figure out why Charles insisted on taking her abroad before, but she had to admit that the way he refused her was very brilliant.
Rebecca suddenly felt lucky.
Fortunately, she had always known what she was capable of and had never daydreamed.
“Rebecca?” There was a hint of warning in Charles, “What’s wrong? Are you going to the kitchen
again?”
Rebecca didn’t say anything. She filled a bowl of rice and sat in the corner to eat.
Looking at her silent face, Charles frowned, but said nothing in the end.
The dinner ended in silence.
Rebecca kept her head down. When she raised her head, she found that there was still a lot of food left on the table, and the bowl of rice was not eaten up by Charles.
Rebecca was a little stunned. She knew that the appetite of Charles was not that small.
She couldn’t help glancing at Charles and wanted to ask him if he was uncomfortable. But when she thought of his warning, she swallowed the words on the tip of her tongue.
Rebecca obediently cleaned up the bowls to the kitchen. When she came out again, Charles was having a video meeting in the living room.

Rebecca didn’t dare to hear more and went back to her room.
She made a video call to Anna, but it was Bill who answered the phone.
Bill told her that Anna was having a cla** with Calvin. Rebecca asked about Anna and hung up the
phone after knowing that she was fine.
Then she took out her drawing folder and began to draw the design drawings.
At first, she was a little restless. As the tip of the brush drew a smooth line on the drawing, her heart slowly calmed down.
Suddenly, the bedroom door was pushed open.
Rebecca looked up and saw Charles appear at the door.
She couldn’t help saying, “I didn’t scream this time.”
“Who told you that I can’t come in? Can you think of something else? Be pure.” Said Charles, raising his eyebrows slightly.
Rebecca was speechless
Why wasn’t she pure?
She was very pure. It was Charles that kept accusing her of having an improper desire?
If it went on like this, even if she didn’t have one, she would be affected by him.
However, the next second, the idea was suppressed by Rebecca.
As a mother, she couldn’t afford to be willful. Even if she was not a mother and Anna wasn’t by her side, she would not provoke such a man.
She couldn’t afford to offend him.
Wasn’t it good to live a good life?
Rebecca seemed to be obedient, but with a thorn in her heart, she was not so obedient at all.
She just wanted to pretend to be gentle so that she could stay with him.
What a cunning woman!
Charles snorted coldly, but somehow felt a little better.
I’ll leave the hotel early tomorrow morning. Don’t worry about the breakfast and take good care of your feet. I don’t want to see you limp when going back. Anna will consider that I bully you when she
see it.”

Rebecca was stunned. Looking at the back of Charles turning around and leaving, an idea suddenly appeared in her mind.
Was the dinner ordered by Charles just now because she just hurt her foot and he wanted her to have more rest?
Rebecca knew that she was flattering herself, but once this idea floated up, it could not be held down any more.
The next day, it was dawn when Charles got up. When he opened the door and walked out, the room was filled with the smell of food.
Hearing the voice, Rebecca came out of the kitchen and said, “Charles, I’ve put your breakfast in the meal box. You can have it on the way.”
Seeing that Charles was looking at her, she said in a hurry, “I’m just hungry. By the way, I’ve prepared a meal box for you.”
Rebecca suddenly felt a little annoyed. She must be out of her mind. How could she do such a misleading thing just because of the care of Charles? Charles had already suspected that she loved him.
“Thank you.” Charles picked up the lunch box and said, “Remember to apply medicine on your ankle.”
Then he took his suit jacket and left.
Rebecca was stunned.
Just like that?
No disdain? No sarcasm? Didn’t he doubt her intention?
Rebecca sat at the table as if in a dream.
In the car, relying on his shamelessness, Stephen managed to grab two fried dumplings and an egg cake from Charles’s meal box.
Touching his stomach, Stephen recalled the food he had just eaten and became more greedy. “Although Rebecca’s cooking is not top, the food she cooked makes people feel like it’s the most delicious food in the world. No wonder you have to be with her, Charles.”
Charles did not look at Stephen, and he was too lazy to pay attention to him.
Then Stephen continued, “Although I know you are interested in her.”
As the saying goes, grasping the man’s stomach is equal to grasping the man’s heart. Rebecca grasped both his stomach and his body.
Even Charles couldn’t stand it.

“But you have to consider Louisa and her family. Let alone Louisa, I received a call from her mother
last night, asking about your schedule. She really wants to see you. I think her purpose is to talk about your marriage with Louisa.”
“Then find a reason to refuse.” Charles said lightly, “I won’t marry Louisa.”
“Charles, I’m afraid the Yeats family and the Lynn family won’t let you go if you refuse.”
“That’s true.”
Looking at the nonchalant look on Charles’s face, Stephen asked, “Is it worth giving up the marriage for Rebecca?”
“What does it have to do with her? I won’t marry a woman like Rebecca.” Said Charles, frowning.
While saying that, it came to him that Rebecca, wearing an apron, walked out of the kitchen with a pancake turner in her hand and smiled.
She was beautiful.
