Chapter 36
Recuperating in the hospital, Kara was not at ease.
“Why are you back?” Gail hadn’t expected to see Kara at the Grande Entertainment Club tonight, “You’re still sick.”
“Gail, it’s okay. I’ve had enough rest.” What she had been thinking about was that she owed a lot of debts, “Gail, I’m really healed. Can I… Gail, is there anything I can do? I…can do anything.”
“You…” Gail looked at the humble but stubborn girl in front of her and swallowed her words.
She sighed, “I’ll go and have a look.”
“Gail.” Kara suddenly stopped Gail when Gail was about to leave, “Gail, thank you.‘
With that, Kara quickly lowered her head.
Gail doubted her eyes… Did she see it wrong?
Kara… blushed?
But, is there anything to blush about? She didn’t do anything to help. She was just doing Kara a small favor.
How humble and helpless Kara must be in the depths of her heart to blush in embarrassment and thank her anxiously because of such a small favor?
Mr. Brown… what the hell did you do to this silly woman?!
Gail nodded vaguely. She didn’t dare to continue to face this silly woman… The humbleness of this silly woman seemed to flow out of her blood. The more humble Kara was, the less she dared to look at Kara.
Kara was a living person!
Not long after, Gail came back, “Follow me.”
“OK.“As always, Kara never asked more questions.
Gail felt even more upset. She thought of Kara’s words “Gail, I’m worthless“. With a silent sigh, Gail took Kara into the elevator and explained the situation to Kara along the way, “Later, you don’t have to be afraid. This Mr. Hill has always been low–key and mysterious. Hill Group, you know it, right? The client today is the CEO of Hill Group.
“But you don’t have to worry. Although this Mr. Hill is mysterious and low–key, and he returned from abroad two years ago, he has taken control of the Hill Group in just two years. It is rumored that his sexual orientation… um… is a bit unusual.
“Well, so don’t be afraid. You will be the only one from the public relations department to enter the box later. Just stand among the others and pour the wine. ”
Hill Group… Kara was stunned for a moment. Three years ago, she was still the daughter of the Smith family. As one of the rich second generations in New York, she certainly knew about this Hill Group.
There was a moment of fear in her heart. She was afraid of facing the group of rich kids that she had hung out with back then… Now, what was left for her when facing those people?
Fortunately, Gail said that Mr. Hill had only returned from abroad two years ago.
Kara breathed a sigh of relief in her heart. As for what Gail said about Mr. Hill’s abnormal sexual orientation, why did he come to the Grande Entertainment Club and order girls? Kara was puzzled, but she didn’t ask.
She never asked what she shouldn’t ask.
They stopped outside the box and pushed the door open. Seeing everything in the box, Kara suddenly realized that the CEO of the Hill Group came to the Grande Entertainment Club to entertain his guests.
In the box, there were seven or eight people from the public relations department, including two men.
Gail watched Kara walking into the box with complicated eyes… She wanted to help this silly woman, but she could only help this silly woman in this way.
She hoped this silly woman break free from her shackles.
God…shouldn’t be so cruel, right?
When Kara came in, the atmosphere in the box was lively.
She came in quietly, lowered her head, and stood on the side. She was so low–key that she didn’t seem to exist. She
would just mix in and poured wine as Gail had told her.
Under the dim light, she was trembling. Although no one could see it, she was trembling all over through a layer of clothes.
Kara buried her head low with panic in her eyes in a corner where no one was looking… How could it be?! How could they be here?!
She tried her best to make herself invincible. She… wished she was air at this moment!
How… how could they be here?
Kara subconsciously leaned towards the place she subconsciously thought was safe. Here, the safest place was… next to Mr. Hill.
“You are trembling.” She suddenly heard a gentle voice. The voice was not loud, it startled her!
A thin layer of sweat unconsciously formed on her forehead, and Kara held her breath in panic, “Mr. Hill, it may be because the air conditioner is too cold. I’ll pour you some wine.”
She moved in front of Mr. Hill, squatted down, and poured the wine without saying a word.
The wine glass was full, but Mr. Hill didn’t raise his glass.
He just looked at the woman at his feet playfully and said, “There are so many people in this box. How do you know that I am Mr. Hill?“
