Chapter 35
Shepard looked very cold. Fifty songs seemed easy to be completed. Shepard watched Cody singing one song after another, witnessing how her voice became hoarse and how she looked a mess… That woman had also been like this back then?
Cody’s songs had been out of tune. She panted and
swallowed desperately. Even watching from the side, one. could see at a glance that she was dry and uncomfortable at the moment. Shepard looked at her with a cold face, “If you can’t finish the songs, you will be very sorry.”
Cody’s body trembled suddenly and her eyes widened. She looked at the man on the sofa in fear, and said urgently and awkwardly, “Mr. Brown, I’ll sing right away.”
Time passed by. Larissa just felt lucky at this moment. Fortunately, she hadn’t had time to take action against Kara. Otherwise…she couldn’t imagine how miserable her consequences would be!
The longer a person stayed in the Grande Entertainment Club, the more he would understand what the name of the Grande Entertainment Club represented in New York!
Fifty songs were finally sung.
“Mr. Brown, she passed out,” Gail said.
Shepard stood up, walked out without turning his head, and
said indifferently, “Throw her out.”
What kind of place was the Grande Entertainment Club?
It had its own rules of survival here.
Those who could stay here and succeed naturally had extraordinary abilities.
In the Grande Entertainment Club, an invisible wind blew, and everyone tensed up and became vigilant. As for Larissa and Cody, they seldom mentioned them, as if these two people had never existed in the Grande Entertainment Club and they had never them.
“Hey, Molly, I haven’t seen Larissa and Cody for several days,” Noelle said suddenly in the temporary staff lounge during the break.
In the lounge, more than a dozen other girls fell silent in unison. They had been discussing the topic of famous brands and big stars, but they stopped talking abruptly. There was dead silence in the lounge.
“What’s wrong? Why aren’t you talking?” Noelle looked around in confusion.
Those people she looked at immediately turned their heads away, pretending to be busy with their own affairs. No one talked to her.
“Molly? What happened?” The atmosphere was so weird that Noelle was very confused.
Molly was a little hesitant. After all, Noelle was in the same batch as her. She hesitated, “Actually, Cody and…”
“Molly, let’s go. It’s time to go back to work.” Suddenly, someone interrupted Molly. Another stood up and said to Molly. Everyone else in the room also stood up quickly, “Let’s go, Molly. It’s time to work.”
Noelle’s face darkened immediately. She stood up suddenly and said, “Annie, what do you mean? You don’t let Molly talk to me? Who do you think you are?”
The person who had interrupted Molly was Annie. She was very beautiful, even more, beautiful than the girls from the public relations department. But she had been working as a waitress at the Grande Entertainment Club for two years. Hearing this, she stopped and turned around, “Idiot, you’d better mind your own business.”
Annie’s eyes were extremely sarcastic. This girl Noelle always thought she was special and innocent. Why didn’t she go to work part–time in a small restaurant or serve as Miss Manners on weekends? Why did she come to work at Grande Entertainment Club?
“Who are you scolding?” Noelle became furious.
Annie raised her brows, “I’m scolding whoever answers.”
Molly pulled Annie aside and signaled Annie to calm down.
However, Noelle misinterpreted this, and looked at Molly angrily with eyes filled with the grief of being betrayed, “Molly! I didn’t expect you to be like this!”
“Molly, ignore her.” Annie interrupted Molly, raised her eyebrows, and looked at Noelle, “Noelle, mind your own business.”
Noelle… was the next one to suffer. She was so stupid and self–righteous. In the bathroom today, she complained to others that she was cheated by Kara and talked about how despicable Kara was.
She was hopelessly dumb. She was asking for trouble.
