Chapter 21
The scene inside the box was shocking.
“Climb quickly! So slow! Do you still want money?”
Kara gritted her teeth, bit her lips tightly, trying to ignore the pain in the muscles, bones, and meridians, and
accelerated her speed. Before she knew it, her clothes were soaked in sweat.
Ever since she was released from the prison, she was dry without sweating even in a scorching summer afternoon on the street, but now the clothes on her back were soaked.
“Quick! Climb up to me,” Mr. Spence said with a smile. A group of rich boys around him laughed. Under Shepard’s gaze, Kara climbed up to Mr. Spence, who was only twenty years old, without dignity. Shepard’s eyes darkened in the darkness!
Kara! There were clusters of anger burning in Shepard’s eyes, and there was an indescribable depression in his heart.
Shepard didn’t even think about why he felt angry when he saw the woman in front of him that he hated so much being so cheap and humble.
He didn’t even think about another thing. His purpose was to humiliate Kara. Now that his purpose had been achieved, why didn’t he have the slightest bit of joy in his heart?
“Raise your head and show me.” Mr. Spence said frivolously.
Hearing his words, Kara was not annoyed. She just raised her head obediently, like a wooden doll without a soul. She moved as soon as Mr. Spence commanded.
“Damn! What the hell is this?!” The man behind Mr. Spence exclaimed, staring into Kara’s eyes in shock, “Mr. Spence, this woman doesn’t need makeup. She looks like a clown herself.”
“Mr. Spence, Mr. Brown is right. Good wine is for a beautiful woman. How can such an ugly woman have the right to drink the wine rewarded by Mr. Spence?” The other rich boys began to clamor on the side.
Kara lowered her head and secretly breathed a sigh of relief… As long as they didn’t ask her to drink wine, she could do everything!
Her life, from the moment that silly girl died, had no longer belonged to her. In order to live, she must not take the risk of drinking, because her crippled kidney could not withstand the stimulation of strong alcohol.
“No,” The boy showed a smirk above her head, “I meant it when I said I was going to reward her with a glass of wine. I’ll keep my word.”
As he spoke, he stood in front of Kara, looked down at her, and commanded, “I’m rewarding you with wine. Why don’t you raise your head?”
Seeing that Kara didn’t move, the boy named Mr. Spence called out, a little unhappy, “I’m telling you to look up. Are you deaf?”
He sneered, “Do you need me to call someone to help you?”
Kara braced herself and raised her head. In the next second, all the wine in the glass in Mr. Spence’s hand was poured on Kara’s face. She was caught off guard, and the wine choked into her nose and eyes. She coughed violently, and her face turned pale.
Mr. Spence put the wine glass on the crystal table and said with a wicked smile, “But your appearance is too
unappetizing. This is the only way to reward you with my wine.”
With that, he laughed with the people around him and waved his hand casually, “I’ll keep my word. Today you’ve made me happy,” He threw fifty thousand to Kara, and said coldly, “Take the money and get out of here! My eyes hurt from looking at you.”
The money hit Kara’s face and fell to the floor. Kara was still lying on the floor on all fours. She stretched out her
trembling hands, and almost exhausted all her strength to grab the banknotes on the floor.
“Did I allow you to stand up?” Just as Kara was about to move, the boy named Mr. Spence laughed again.
Stuffing all the banknotes into the big pocket of the clown costume, Kara lowered her head and lay on the floor.
“Hey! Don’t forget to wag your tail!”
Kara was slightly shocked, and then…
She slowly raised her right hand, right leg, left hand, and left
leg, and shook her hip…
Amidst the humiliation and applause from the audience, she quietly left… on all fours!
From the beginning to the end, she had never looked at the man on the sofa who was hidden in the darkness.

Gail really wanted to yell at Kara in front of her, but these words were stuck in her throat, and she couldn’t say a word.
“Gail, this money…” Kara leaned half against the wall, trying to support her body so that she would not fall, and slowly took out the bounty money she had gotten from “selling ugly” in the box from the pocket of the clown costume, “Gail, please deposit it into my bank card for me.”
Gail watched Kara taking out the bank card that Shepard had given her from her pocket… What was the reason for Kara to carry this bank card around with her? –
