GoodBye, My Coldhearted Husband By Aurora Chapter 20

GoodBye My Coldhearted Husband By Aurora Chapter 20

Chapter 20

Shepard was sitting quietly on the sofa, and the dim light made him look even more noble and indifferent.

Shepard’s eyes fell on Kara’s face, and he said calmly, “You are so cheap.”

Kara gritted her teeth tightly and gasped. If it weren’t for the thick clown makeup to cover her up, her face at this moment would be as pale as a dead man’s face!

Luckily she had this funny makeup to hide her

After a while…

Under Shepard’s gaze, Kara slowly put on an incomparably bright smile and said, “Thank you, Mr. Brown, for the reward.”

No one could see that these words almost exhausted her whole body’s strength!

He called her cheap, and she thanked him for the reward… Was she really no longer the arrogant and unyielding girl in New York back then?

Kara took a deep breath and turned her head to look at that Mr. Spence, “Mr. Spence, I’ve picked up all the money on the floor. Does your word count?”

Mr. Spence waved his hand generously. Kara wanted to

stand up, but Mr. Spence stopped Kara from standing up unhurriedly, “Don’t rush to stand up,

With that, he walked to the crystal table and picked up a gla** of wine, “Before you take away the money, I will treat you to a gla** of wine.”

A gla** of whiskey was handed to Kara. Kara hadn’t stood up yet and was still lying on all fours on the floor.

“I don’t…”

Just as Kara was about to refuse, a deep voice sounded slowly, “Good wine is for a beautiful woman. It would be a pity to let her drink it.”

It was Shepard!

Kara lowered her eyes to hide the bitterness in her eyes.

Shepard, how on earth are you going to humiliate me to be happy?

“Mr. Brown, are you saying that she is not a beautiful woman?” Mr. Spence doubted, “I don’t believe it. How can there be any ugly women in the Grande Entertainment Club?”

He looked at Kara’s face seriously. Unfortunately, the heavy clown makeup on Kara’s face covered her real face.

“You don’t believe me?” Shepard smiled lightly, and his eyes fell lazily on Kara’s face, “Go and wash it off.”

He sounded disdainful, lazy, and… completely indifferent.

Chapter 20

Kara was about to stand up…

“Crawl.” Mr. Spence said on the side.

His face turned pale again. Kara’s hands on the floor were firmly scratching the floor…Hold it! Kara! What is this? Compared with three years of prison life, this is nothing!

Sure enough, she obediently crawled to the bathroom attached to the box. There was no makeup remover, so she could only use hand sanitizer to wash off the clown makeup on her face. Of course, it was not as thorough as makeup remover oil, but… enough for others to see clearly her thin and ordinary face.

She walked to the door of the bathroom and opened it…

“Well, I’m used to seeing you crawling. I don’t like your standing and walking posture.” Mr. Spence looked at the woman at the door with a smile, “What do you think should be done?”

Kara silently squatted down, lay on the floor, and crawled on all fours. Her legs and feet were not flexible, and she had been crawling on the floor for a long time just now. Now her face was pale with pain.

She felt a piercing pain, but she stubbornly bore it and hid it… She had said that she didn’t need dignity, and she didn’t have dignity, and she didn’t care about dignity. But

subconsciously, she would rather endure the pain that a man couldn’t bear than cry out.

Outside the box, Gail appeared from the corner. When she raised her head, her eyes sharpened instantly. She walked

quietly to the box, “Larissa, what are you doing?”

Hearing the sudden cold voice from behind, Larissa outside the box turned her head in fright. After seeing the person behind her clearly, she looked awkward, “No, I didn’t see anything…’

Larissa was the girl a**igned to the VIP box on the 28th floor, but those rich kids didn’t want her to serve them. Instead, they asked Gail to personally bring them an ugly woman who had just arrived.

After Larissa was kicked out of the box, she was naturally unhappy. There was no one around, so Larissa quietly pushed open the door of the box a little and peeked in through the gap. Her eyes widened when she saw this scene, and she laughed at Kara in her heart.

Gail sneered. What she asked was “What are you doing”, not “What are you looking at”. Larissa undoubtedly confessed.

“It’s none of your business here. Go to the first floor to entertain clients.”

Larissa wanted to say something, but Gail glanced at Larissa lightly, and Larissa reluctantly left the 28th floor. But she was angry… It was so unfair. She was clearly the girl a**igned to the VIP box on the 28th floor, but she was not allowed to enter to entertain the distinguished clients.

The people who came today were all rich and powerful. They were important people at first glance. They were all handsome young men. It was such a good thing, but Gail asked this useless ugly woman to replace her.

Chapter 20

Now Gail told her to go to the first floor to greet those ordinary clients!

Larissa stomped her foot and walked away indignantly.

Gail gently pushed the door open a little, and the scene inside even shocked her, a woman who had seen all the darkness of clubs.

Review by author Aurora:

"GoodBye, My Coldhearted Husband" “I read this trying to push myself out of my “Billionaire” comfort zone, I tend to stick to genres I like, billionaire has never been one of those genres. However, I really enjoyed this book, it was exciting, there was a lot of action and drama and it wasn’t as predictable as most billionaire, romance stories. The scenes were hot, but if you’re not a ma**ive fan of smut, they’re not too heavy, so this book is perfect for you. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because I felt the story could have continued a little longer, the ending felt a little rushed. That might have just been me wanting more. I did guess the ending, but this is the case with most books (I actively try to work out how it’s going to end). Overall a great read, I’m looking forward to reading more from this author.“ Perfect for adults (16+) who enjoy:
  • A short Chapter
  • Romance with a hint of fantasy and action
  • Billionaire

Book Synopsis :

Chapter 1 "Ms. Smith, has your husband been contacted?" Kara didn't know how many times the nurse urged her. Kara looked down at her phone, but Shepard still didn't answer her calls. "Your husband doesn't care about you too much. If it weren't for your good luck, it would have been more than just twenty stitches..." Feeling a piercing pain in her body, Kara stared at the white ceiling in a daze, recalling how it had happened. Bonnie had asked her to go shopping together. On the way back, Bonnie was driving, and she was sitting in the back. Their car hit someone and had an accident. Kara recalled the scene of the car accident with lingering fears. Kara came to her sense, and the mottled blood stains on her body made her face pale as paper. Her voice was a bit hoarse. She was embarra**ed but still restrained, "Sorry, he might be busy now. Can I pay the bill myself later?" "It's a big deal. Could it be more important than your life? Well... forget it. You're so pitiful. Give me the bank card, and I'll help you pay the bill. If you need anything, just ring the bell and call me." "Thank you." Kara smiled. It was the first time that she, the daughter of the Smith family and the wife of the Brown Group, had been described as pitiful. The nurse took her bank card and left. She was about to sit up when she heard familiar footsteps from outside the ward. Kara looked out and caught a glimpse of a tall figure. She was instantly overjoyed and called out the name that she had missed a lot, "Shepard!" That was her husband. They had been married for three years. Even though they had rarely seen each other, she was happy with it.
