Crystal’s Summer Romance Chapter 37

Chapter 37 Come to My Villa Tomorrow Night, Hmm?

Anna had both tears and blood in her mouth as she struggled with all her might.

“You can’t go with this b*stard, Crystal! How am I supposed to explain this to your father?”

A series of footsteps could be heard outside the door before uniform–clad men and women stormed in.

Anna was frozen at first, but she soon shouted like she had lost her mind. “I was the one who hurt Robert! Take me! Hurry up and take me to jail! I don’t mind being jailed for the rest of my life! Stay away from Crystal! Please, Robert… Keep your hands off of her!”

Anna had both hands around her head as she kneeled on the floor.

She hated herself for her recklessness, and she despised the fact that she was so easily provoked by Robert that she got Crystal involved.

This scene surprised the people who had just entered the office.

They turned to look at Robert and hesitantly called out, “Mr. Sloan?”

Robert only gently held Crystal’s hand before he gave a hard tug, making her sit beside him.

He was somewhat irked when he noticed how she was shaking all over. Does she really have to be so scared of

Despite that, he thought he should go easy on her since she had conceded. He proceeded to grab some tissues, which he used to press on his wound, and nonchalantly told the crowd, “A lot was going on here just now. I might have hurt myself. However, we have surveillance cameras in our office building. There is, a bit of a technical issue with them, but they can be fixed in two days. I will provide the full footage then.”

They continued to exchange pleasantries for a little longer before promptly leaving.

Crystal was still shivering. She knew that Anna was only safe for the time being. With the surveillance footage in his hands, Robert could take Anna to court anytime.

It was eerily quiet in the spacious office.

Robert had grown as white as a sheet at this point. After he cocked his head as he instructed his secretary to get the car ready, he gently held Crystal’s chin. “Come to my villa tomorrow, hmm?”

The woman’s eyes were unfocused.

Seeing this, Robert pursed his lips and added, “I want you to play the piano for me,”

Crystal didn’t answer him, but her lack of response didn’t bother him at all. He only needed her by his side. In fact, he was sure that she would return to being her old, obedient self after some time.

-She’d better forget about that stupid crush she and Henry have on each other!

Since Robert was severely injured, he and his group of secretaries and a**istants hurriedly left.

Crystal had Anna lean against her as they went home.

Seeing that Anna was still out of sorts, Crystal whispered, “Aunt Anna, you should go take a shower. I’ll cook something for us.”

As soon as she said that, her arm was held in a painfully tight grip.

Anna gravely warned her, “Crystal Winters, I forbid you from going to see that scoundrel!”

Crystal lowered her gaze when she heard that.

What more could she do if she didn’t, meet Robert as he told her to? Surely, she couldn’t just watch as her father suffered and Anna was imprisoned!

No… have no other choice

She didn’t plan to tell Anna that she wanted to send her and John away after she resolved everything. Crystal would only handle her business with Robert after that.

Robertyou are the one who has left me no other choice but to do this

Crystal lied to Anna that she would figure out a solution with Jake or see if Madison could be of help. With her repeated a**urance, Anna finally felt more relieved.

After receiving treatment for his injury, Robert was admitted to a hospital room in a certain private hospital in Barnwood. He had changed into a loose hospital gown because of the layers of white gauze wrapped around his waist.

Even so, he was still discussing business matters with his a**istants.

Melora, who came to visit him, had turned red in the eyes when she saw him. “Robert, who did this to you?!”

He couldn’t just tell her that he had planned to get himself injured, and he certainly did not want her to hear Crystal’s name. And so, he randomly made up a reason which Melora both believed and got extremely worried over.

Her eyes were overflowing with her concern for him. However, Robert was reminded of Crystal when he looked at her.

Crystal used to love him so deeply back then but now, she didn’t worry about him nor did she shed a tear even though he had sustained such a serious injury.

Book Synopsis:

Chapter 1 Stirring up Trouble With a Big Shot

On the night of Robert Sloan's engagement, Crystal Winters got drunk at a bar. She mistook someone, hugged an incredibly handsome guy in a dark alley, and pa**ionately kissed him. Both of them felt satisfied with the kiss. The handsome guy looked at the woman in his arms and purred in a sensual and husky voice, "Are you serious?" Crystal sobered up a bit and recognized the man in front of her. Belonging naturally to the metropolitan elite with a plethora of properties registered to his name, Henry Miller was the preeminent attorney in the country. Nevertheless, he also a**umed an additional role—Robert's forthcoming brother-in-law. Crystal hesitated momentarily, but then she mused, If Robert can cheat on me, why can't I indulge and enjoy myself too? Instead of pushing Henry away, she held onto him even tighter as she was beautiful and had an attractive figure. Despite his general disposition toward restraint, Henry found himself willing to indulge in a fleeting romantic encounter with her.

4.5 out of 5

This story gets a 4.5 out of 5.
In this beautiful novel from the internationally bestselling author of Crystal's Summer Romance Robert Sloan explores another little-known slice of history seen through women’s eyes. I read this trying to push myself out of my “Billionaire” comfort zone, I tend to stick to genres I like, billionaire has never been one of those genres. However, I really enjoyed this book, Crystal's Summer Romance ( Crystal & Robert Sloan ). it was exciting, there was a lot of action and drama and it wasn’t as predictable as most billionaire, romance stories. The scenes were hot, but if you’re not a ma**ive fan of smut, they’re not too heavy, so this book is perfect for you. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because I felt the story could have continued a little longer, the ending felt a little rushed. That might have just been me wanting more. I did guess the ending, but this is the case with most books (I actively try to work out how it’s going to end). Overall a great read, I’m looking forward to reading more from this author.“ Perfect for adults (16+) who enjoy:
  • Billionaire
  • Mythology: Greek mythology and mythological characters (Billionaire, Love, Romance, vampires)
  • Learning from reading
  • Getting lost in a complex storyline.
